Rive Claire is a vegan and sustainable fashion brand launched in 2020 by Audrey & David, a French couple based in Switzerland. The tandem wanted to convey fundamental values by imagining a new version of Haute Maroquinerie, that of appreciating luxury without animal matter.
THE ORIGIN
Business creation often has its origins in a story linked to the past. This is the case for me, with the leather goods boutique run by my mom. I have fantastic memories of myself as a little girl, admiring the shelves filled with beautiful bags or listening to the invaluable advice given to customers. Choice of color, size, capacity, care, my mom made every bag the perfect companion or gift.
For Rive Claire, David and I wanted to bring real differentiation: combining the beauty of French style with sustainable, vegan materials.

The collections are designed in Paris and Bordeaux with a timeless, creative approach. For manufacturing, we work with several workshops near Milan, renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship.
An entire team coordinates from one country to another between France, Switzerland and Italy to offer exclusive pieces of Haute Maroquinerie with the added challenge of sublimating the plant material.
From the outset, the brand aims to be transparent by indicating the origin of its materials and manufacturing countries, but also by cutting out intermediaries to privilege a direct relationship with its customers.
2021 - 2022
Rive Claire is the culmination of a long process of reflection based on a global sustainable approach. Our packaging is recycled, ecological and 100% climate neutral. We also wholeheartedly support associations working for biodiversity and animal protection.
At the end of 2021, we were awarded PETA-Approved Vegan certification, recognizing our efforts as an ethical, animal-friendly company.
In 2022, our Nomad crossbody bag won the PETA Vegan Fashion Award in the "Best Vegan Bag" category.
November 2023
At the end of 2023, continuing its sustainable commitments, Rive Claire unveils a new line of accessories: ethical jewelry.
The exclusive collection is hand-crafted by the Lollipomme workshop in Haut-de-France. The jewelry is designed using 24K fine gold-plated brass elements of European origin and Italian vegan material derived from apple residues.
Each piece of jewelry has a story and Rive Claire's mission is to give people the power to feel unique with a sustainable piece.
